MY WORK
Randall Bezeau is a sculptor devoted to the enduring beauty of the human form.
Working primarily in marble, Randy draws on the traditions of classical sculpture while pursuing a deeply personal understanding of the body—its movement, weight, vulnerability, and quiet strength. His work is rooted in the belief that marble, despite its permanence, can convey something remarkably alive.
Inspired by the great masters of the Italian Renaissance and Classical tradition, Randy has a particular admiration for the sculptures of Florence, where the human figure was elevated into one of art’s most enduring subjects. He is drawn to the discipline, restraint, and intimacy of this tradition, and to the extraordinary dialogue between the sculptor and the stone.
His sculptures are created slowly and by hand, allowing the character of each block of marble to inform the finished figure. Rather than pursuing abstraction or novelty, Randy is interested in the timeless: the human body as both physical presence and emotional expression.
For Randy, sculpture is ultimately an act of uncovering—of finding the figure within the stone and allowing it to emerge.
